Overview
Osmo Polyx Hard Wax Oil is available in either matt, satin, gloss, or semi-matt finishes and ideal for use on interior wooden floors and furniture. One of Osmo's most popular products the original hard wax oil is stain resistant, water repellent, and abrasion-resistant. The use of natural oils and waxes creates an even colour and harmonious appearance whilst protecting your interior wood without cracking, peeling, or flaking. Along with easy application and no need for primer this really is the go-to product for wooden floors and furniture.

Preparation
Always ensure the surface is clean, grease-free and clear from dust.
- Clean old microporous stains (wood oils).
- Old paints and lacquers must be completely removed this can be done by sanding back or using a suitable chemical stripper.
- Sand the surface carefully, starting with a coarse sandpaper and finish fine grade. For flooring 120-150 and for furniture 180-240.
- Before application ensure all dust has been removed.
Application
Always test a small area of the surface to be treated before application to ensure you are happy with the finished look.
- Stir well before use.
- Osmo Polyx Oil is ready to use and does not require thinning.
- Use an , floor brush, or microfibre roller.
- Apply thinly working in the direction of the wood grain and spread well.
- Allow to dry for 8-10 hours under good ventilation.
- After drying quickly apply a second coat.
- If re-coating one coat should be sufficient.

Aftercare & Storage
Cleaning
Clean the surface regularly with a duster or vacuum, for spillages and a more intensive clean use with a damp mop. Avoid over saturating the surface with water. For furniture use the .
Maintenance
For cleaning stains and stubborn scuff marks on the satin finish use Osmo Liquid Wax cleaners.
When signs of wear become visible on the surface re-apply one coat of Osmo Polyx Oil to a cleaned and dried surface.
